Why this exists
A label maker is not a permanent marking.
NEC 110.21(B) says field-applied markings have to be permanent and suited to the environment. A printed strip that curls off a hot panel door in a Florida summer is the marking an inspector writes up — and it is the one that holds up your closeout.
Handwriting fails
110.21(B) is explicit that field-applied hazard markings cannot be handwritten. A Sharpie on a blank plate is not a compliant marking no matter how neat it is.
Adhesive tape peels
Embossed and thermal label tape lifts off warm enclosures and goes brittle outdoors. Engraved two-ply is UV stable and the text is cut into the material, so there is nothing to fade or lift.
Vague text fails
408.4 wants circuit identification specific enough to tell one circuit from another, and 110.22(A) wants each disconnect marked with its purpose. “PANEL A” on its own does not do that.
Products
Three things, done properly.
All of it engraved in Rowmark LaserMax two-ply acrylic — a colored cap over a contrasting core, cut about .003″ deep so the core reads through. It is the standard material for this work.
Panel & disconnect plates
Panelboard ID, disconnect and service equipment marking, transformer and ATS plates, MCC bucket labels, meter socket ID. The plates an inspector looks for at closeout.

Why order here
Small shop. Contractor terms.
Price list published
Sizes, quantity breaks, and add-ons are on the site. You can build a number into a bid without waiting on a callback, and hand the page to your PM.
Two business days
From proof approval to plates in hand. Rush service is available at +25% when the inspection moved up and nobody told you.
Proof before every cut
A PDF proof comes back on every order, including reorders. Nothing gets engraved until you reply approved — which is also your protection when a panel name is spelled wrong on the schedule.
Vendor-ready today
W-9, certificate of insurance, resale certificate, and PO terms at net-30. Ready to email the same hour you ask, so purchasing can set us up without chasing paperwork.
We read schematics
Legend plates and terminal legends come back correct the first time because we can read the drawing they came from. That is not something most engraving shops can say.
Reorders are faster and cheaper
Every job is saved as a template with your sizes, fonts, colors, and layout. Artwork setup is free on every reorder, and “same as last time” is a complete purchase order.
How it works
Four steps, no account to set up.
Send the text
Quantity, size, plate and text color, and the exact wording per line. Use the quote form, or just email a panel schedule or valve list.
Quote in 24 hours
A line-item quote written like a submittal, with the material spec and lead time on it, so you can hand it straight to a GC or an owner.
Approve the proof
A dimensioned PDF proof of every plate. First revision is free. Nothing is cut until you reply with an approval.
Two days later
Engraved, edges cleaned, backed or drilled as ordered, and delivered locally or shipped.
Free sample kit
Five plates with your company name on them.
The fastest way to judge an engraver is to hold the work. Tell us your company name and the kind of plates you use, and a small kit goes out with five engraved samples — a panel plate, a disconnect plate, a valve tag, a legend plate, and one with just your name on it.
No charge, no obligation, and we will not put you on a mailing list. If the quality is not what you want, throw them away and we have both learned something cheaply.

We engrave those, and we engrave them exactly as your engineer supplies them. We do not calculate incident energy, arc flash boundaries, PPE categories, or available fault current — that is an engineering study, and any shop offering to produce those numbers for you should worry you. Send the study output and it goes on the plate verbatim.
Send the text. Get a proof back.
A panel schedule, a valve list, or a photo of what you are labeling now. Quotes go out within 24 hours, a PDF proof comes back before anything is cut, and plates ship two business days after you approve it.
